Things to Think about
Location! Location! Location!
Once you’ve settled on the idea that you are going to build a house, the first step is to decide where you’re going to put it. Choosing the right spot a pretty big deal.
Things to think about when choosing a location to build:
Communities – Do you have kids or thinking of starting a family? Do you want parks and walking paths near by?
Schools– If you have kids then school location is very important! Lethbridge school division follows a strict zoning process where your children HAVE to go to the school that is zoned for your area where you live.
– This may play a role in where you decide to build if it is important to you and your family to be closely surrounded by a certain religious community. There are a few religious schools in the city of Lethbridge and you may want to be close to them for easy accessibility.
Friends and Family– Some people need and rely on family and friends as pillars of support. Having a strong network of supportive family and friends near by can truly help our day to day lives!
Shopping Accessibility– Most people love having quick access to groceries stores and shopping centers. Proximity to shops is an important factor to consider when finding a location to build your home. Not to mention, building near shopping malls, grocery stores and other commercial businesses gives your home a greater Return-On-Investment (ROI).
Work – Commuting to work can add another layer of stress to your day
Here in Lethbridge we are lucky that it takes no longer then 20 minutes to get anywhere in the city. However, it is very important to some people to find a home as close as possible to where thy work. Doing so minimizes commuting stress and longer hours away from home!
